Siobhain Whitty, Executive Coach, UK

- Personal Development
I coach people through transition and change in both their professional and personal lives. I have spent the majority of my career in International HR Operations, working in the global oil and gas industry and as an expat in the Philippines, Kazakhstan and Qatar. I’ve held roles in demanding commercial environments and multi-cultural, complex organisations through periods of growth and change; I understand the demands placed upon people to perform and deliver to high standards in international business environments. I have worked alongside leaders and technically qualified specialists from many disciplines and have strong people management, line management and HR experience. I am credentialled with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) which is committed to maintaining and promoting excellence in coaching standards.
I have been a professional coach since 2015, providing coaching in organisations such as BG Group plc, Maersk Oil, Georgetown University, Ooredoo and Kantar; sectors I have coached in include Energy, Law, Higher Education, Media, Retail and IT. Prior to that I worked for over 20 years in HR.
My core client focus includes professionals who are:
-transitioning into new / leadership roles and want to develop leadership capability
-at a crossroads in their careers, facing decisions or changes and need support to explore what steps to take next (e.g. new role, redundancy, retirement)
-focusing on their personal development (e.g. improving confidence, impact, presence, self-awareness)
I do this by supporting people to connect with what they truly want, understand the influence that long-held limiting beliefs can have on their choices, how they behave and come across to others, and then take action which will lead them towards lasting change.
I work with people from a variety of professional and cultural backgrounds; I believe it is a privilege to coach and very much enjoy the opportunity to work with people from all over the world.
A couple of testimonials (please see more on my website):
“I have found Siobhain paradigm shifting in terms of how I approach issues in my life. What she has shown me is that the answers are not to be revealed to me by experts. The answers are all within me and have to be identified and developed by me. When I carefully and comprehensively consider, with Siobhain prompting and challenging, what appear insoluble problems, I have discovered I had the answers to within me all the time – I just had not been able to visualize those answers. I would without hesitation recommend Siobhain as a coach and would make clear that for it to work, you will need to be prepared to work hard and outside comfort zones. It will be worth it”.

“I wanted to take part in professional coaching to enable me to focus on my own personal development, I found that I received this and so much more by working with Siobhain. She has helped me to re-focus on my priorities and to look deeper into why and how I do things. Having someone coach you through what you are thinking and processing, has been a great experience. It has had a positive impact on not only my professional career but also on aspects of my personal life. Siobhain coaches with empathy, understanding and patience; listening to me carefully and helping me see clarity in what we are discussing. I look forward to using these new skills, and continuing being more self-aware and present in the future!”
